Pie In The Sky
02:44
|
|||
Where do we go from here?
Bright lights,
and solemn trees have fallen.
The snow's like crystals in your eyes.
Golden rings and slingshots
It's not the best
it's object.
But we've gotta let these hens fly.
Thoughts of momentary silence.
Tend to look me in the eye.
How to recreate what's undone..
Oh, but it takes time.
Home made pie in the sky
It's way too good to be fact
We've all got these problems,
it's alright.
Hollow bodied figurines
will someday take the place of me.
But i'll be living
'til I die.
But thoughts of momentary silence
tend to look me in the eye.
How to recreate what's undone...
Oh, but it takes time.

Thumb Out to The Road
03:05
|
|||
Thumb out to the road,
I'll go where ever the dust takes me.
Runnin' like a refugee,
sun up sun down.
Busted hats and kerosene
shwills of whisky
destination pending...
knots in eternity.
My baby left me
I've been so
tired lately.
But I've still got the road
to have and to hold.
Dusty as my soul
I'll go where these ole shoes'll take m
Lookin' for a place to sleep
Sun up, sun down.
Sleeping bags and freshies
mean the world to me
'cause I'm turning like a leaf
Around and 'round.
My baby left me
I've been so
tired lately.
But I've still got the road
to have and to hold.
Oh, My baby left me
I've been so
tired lately.
But I've still got the road
to have and to hold.

Highway Blue
03:43
|
|||
Asleep on the captain's chair
sails headed west.
I met a man upon the shore,
he layed me to rest, he said
"Wait until the day I capture you."
"Too late"
I explained,
"My heart's already blue."
Walking through darkness,
my head to the wind.
He knocked on my heart's door,
I could not let him in,
I said "This heart may never be for you",
"but one day we might meet on ole highway blue."
Highway blue
please just
show me the truth cause
I just can't
See this through.
I once thought that I could see
the difference between fiction and reality.
Walking the dangerous shore of what I thought
and what I perceived.
But he said, "Wait until the day I stop you."
"Too late", I explained,
"my journey's never through."
Highway blue
please just
show me what to do cause
I just can't
See this through.
Highway blue
please just
find me the truth cause
I, no I,
can't think this through.

Hand of Death
03:29
|
|||
I'll love you 'til my last breath.
I'll love you 'til I'm sick in the head.
I held the hand of death.
I held the hand of death.
I see your face, all goes blank.
Your solemn eyes are to thank.
You'll never know I love you.
You'll never know I love you.
Who are you, where am I?
Myself in disguise.
I long to hold you hand.
I seek to feel your breath.
I held the hand of death.
I held the hand of death.
Who are you, where am I?
Myself in disguise.
Who are you, where am I?
Myself in disguise.

Why Oh Why
02:03
|
|||
Why oh why
Doesn't the color in your eyes reflect all those memories of youth?
We're talking a walk through the forest
that's burning to the ground,
the air is too thick to lose,
to lose another round.
Like riding a bicycle towards a sound.
Memories, oh memories
Why you choose to haunt me now could you wait another hour or two?
I'll gather my thoughts in a basket
and hide them down below
and store them so one day
a patron can find the prize
And I'll create my mirage of a crime.
Why isn't the sky not falling yet?
Why isn't the dirt all around corroded?
Why oh why
Doesn't the cyclone in my head stop going in rewind tonight?
And I'm running through a dark maze
hoping some day I will never be drowning.
I'll collect my quiet thoughts of fulfillment.
Why isn't the sky not falling yet?
Why isn't the dirt on the ground corroded?

Forever Alone
03:13
|
|||
You left me a message on my telephone.
You said,
"Hey baby I think it's time you left me alone,"
"cause you're just too cynical, a critic at heart,"
"Why you're so pessimistic, I can't even start."
I'm forever alone
it's okay,
I still got my comic books and my pride
And my cat, yeah
He's alright
I'll be at home on a Friday night
but it's okay
cause I could watch the stars go by
and wait for the sun to rise
forever alone.
Went to a house party just the other day.
Got some bad anxiety
so I tried to push it away.
Then I made just a few too many not so funny puns.
They told me to go outside because
my puns were not fun.
I'm forever alone
it's okay,
I still got my records and my pride
And my cat,
He'll do just fine
I'll be at home on a Friday night
but it's okay
cause I could watch the stars go by
and play my guitar all night.
forever alone.
Went to the carnival just the other day
Met up with some boy and his friends,
if he liked me I cannot say
We went to ride the ferris wheel,
I was feeling quite esteemed,
but when I went to hop on the ride,
they said they only had room for three.
I'm forever alone
it's okay,
I still got my comic books and my pride
And my cat, yeah
He's alright
I'll be at home on a Friday night
but it's okay
cause I could watch the stars go by
and wait for the sun to rise
forever alone.
Forever alone.
Forever alone
Forever alone.

American Lie
03:53
|
|||
I think slowly to myself out loud
I can hear the phone ringin'
I talked too loud.
I see the lights of New York City
When I close my eyes
it's the American Lie.
But you don't need to wait for after life.
You see that girl,
go and knock her up and make her your wife.
Scary noises happen all the time.
I could see the clouds rollin'
for miles and miles.
Tell yourself you'll be alright,
but the train's not comin'
you're out of time.
But you don't need to wait to say goodbye.
You've got your lovers and your blankets
you could said you'll be fine.
In the distance, there's a burning house
I could hear the sirens singin',
I'm drownin' them out
with the sound of my own heart breaking
and it feels so wrong
but at the same time it's right.
But you don't need to wait for after life.
You see that girl,
go and knock her up and make her your wife.
No you don't need to wait say
goodbye
goodbye.
You've got your lovers,
and your blankets,
you could say you'll be fine.
But you don't need to wait for after life.
You've got your lovers
and your blankets
you could say you'll be fine
But you don't need to wait for after.
But you don't need to wait for after life.
You've got your lovers
and your blankets
you could say you'll be fine.
